Magnifique vase balustre à col ouvert signé Michel, de l’Ecole de Nancy. Cette signature est, aujourd’hui encore une énigme pour les spécialistes de l’art. On prête parfois cette production à un élève d’Emile Gallé (Croix de Lorraine dans la signature). Dans tous les cas la qualité des pièces, de la même époque que Gallé et Daum, est proche de celle des grands maîtres verriers.
Le vase est dégagé à l’acide dans des verres à couches multiples, de couleur verte sur fond rose et orangé, ce décor de paysage lacustre est gravé en camée. Le vase est signé et authentifié.
