Huile sur papier encadrée de Jef Friboulet (1919-2003) signée en haut à droite.  Lithographe, sculpteur et peintre, Jef Friboulet est un artiste normand à la peinture authentique dont les traits singuliers sont très identifiables. Après la seconde guerre mondiale, il rencontre et devient ami avec Braque, Vlaminck et De Saint Delis. Grand prix d’automne en 1950 à Monaco, il va alors imposer sa propre vision de l’expressionnisme reposant sur une palette restreinte de couleurs et une juxtaposition radicale des ombres et des lumières. A partir des années 60, il présente ses œuvres dans le monde entier. Plusieurs rétrospectives lui ont été consacrées ces dernières années, au Musée des Beaux Arts du Havre, de Rouen et à l’Orangerie du Sénat à Paris.
